American Fantasy Football in Fantasy Sports Resource

In 1995, Morris Cohen dreamt of a new kind of fantasy football league. It would be a league that extended its season to an exciting conclusion during the playoffs, culminating with the Super Bowl, giving every owner a shot at winning the championship in the playoffs, rather than finishing after the regular season, with most of the owners long since eliminated from contention. In short, the league would capture the postseason magic of the NFL. After the creation of a unique new rules system, in August, 1995, eight enthusiastic fantasy football league players gathered in a chat room on the old Prodigy network and made that dream a reality: NAFFLIU was born.
